Dimwood is made by one developer. Mail goes to a human, not a queue, and usually gets an answer within a few days.

If you are reporting something that went wrong, your device model and iOS version help more than anything else.

Common questions

Where is my progress saved?

On your device only. Dimwood has no account and no cloud save, so progress does not follow you to another phone — and deleting the app deletes it for good.

I bought something and it is not showing

Open Settings in the game and use Restore Purchases. That asks Apple directly what your Apple Account owns. If it still does not appear, write to either address above — a purchase you paid for is not something you should have to argue about.

Can I play it with the sound off?

Yes, and it is built that way on purpose. Everything the music and effects tell you is also said in light and motion. Silent Mode does not mute the game — the mute button inside the game is your control.

Is there VoiceOver support?

Yes. The menus are labelled throughout, and during a night a VoiceOver rotor called “who is still waiting” speaks where home is and where each friend is standing, in plain directions rather than numbers. There is also a Read the night aloud setting that speaks the narration for anyone who wants it, whether or not VoiceOver is running.

For a better voice than the default, download an Enhanced or Premium English voice in iOS Settings ▸ Accessibility ▸ Spoken Content ▸ Voices.

Can I lose?

No. If the dark takes a friend, they drop out and wait for you to come back for them. A night can take longer and earn fewer stars, but it cannot be failed.

Reduce Motion and Reduce Transparency

Both are respected. With Reduce Motion on, effects become brightness changes rather than movement, and nothing important is carried by animation alone.
